Plásticos de Lezo has a Corporate Social Responsibility Policy that establishes ethical principles for conducting business activities with honesty, integrity, and in full compliance with laws and regulations established in the jurisdictions where Plásticos de Lezo conducts its business. Within our Corporate Social Responsibility policy, we assume different commitments:
With people: Our company philosophy is clear: we are all equal and we should all be treated fairly, responsibly, diversely, and on equal terms. We ensure fair working conditions in terms of hours and pay, provide freedom of association, avoid child or minor labor, and do not maintain commercial relationships with countries that allow forced labor or human trafficking.
With the community: We are close to those around us.
With the industry: We listen to the needs of our customers, respond to them, and stand by their side. We protect intellectual property and avoid disclosing our customers’ information except as strictly necessary by contract.
With the environment: We believe in sustainable development, which is why we promote responsible and sustainable consumption of various materials and energy resources.
To this end, we assume different responsibilities that make up our Ethical Code of Conduct:
- Under no circumstances is bribery and/or extortion allowed. If any person in the company is being subjected to any type of illegal proposition or pressure in their work relationships, within or outside the organization, they must report it immediately. Such situations must also be reported when the case of a third person in the company who is being subjected to extortion and/or bribery is known.
- All employees will carry out their activities objectively, impartially, ethically, and appropriately, in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. In the performance of their activity, integrity must underpin all company relationships, i.e., with customers, suppliers, communities, and employees among themselves.
- Respond and manage serious incidents that occur in our facilities effectively and appropriately, with clear, simple, and effective communication channels that protect the sender. Serious incidents are understood to be any situation that may affect the health and safety of employees, customers, suppliers, or the general public; contamination of the environment, or any event that affects Plásticos de Lezo’s image or reputation, such as violations of the code of conduct, financial fraud, or the violation of confidential information security for which Plásticos de Lezo is responsible. The Escalation Policy consists of any person being able to inform their direct supervisor of the detected serious incident or, if this is not possible or if the person is implicated, transmit the information upstream in the chain of command, being able to report directly to management if necessary.
