Plásticos Lezo receives the PRS Green Label 2025 for its commitment to circular logistics

At Plásticos Lezo, we continue to advance on our path towards more sustainable production. This year, 2025, we have been recognized with the PRS Green Label, an award given to companies that stand out for their active involvement in the circular pallet reuse system promoted by PRS – Pooling Partners.

What is the PRS Green Label?

The PRS Green Label is much more than a visual badge. It represents the collective effort of producers, processors, transporters, and distributors who, like Plásticos Lezo, collaborate to reduce the use of natural resources through the efficient reuse of industrial pallets. This circular system allows pallets to be collected, reconditioned, and reused multiple times, extending their lifespan and significantly reducing waste.

Our role in a more sustainable logistics network

Thanks to our pallet return rate, Plásticos Lezo has been awarded this recognition, which reflects our daily commitment to adopting circular logistics practices and minimizing the environmental impact of our operations.

In collaboration with PRS, we actively contribute to reducing deforestation through a system where every seven pallets returned and reused equates to one tree saved.

Return Stars: a new environmental impact metric

One of the new features of the PRS Green Label 2025 is the introduction of the Return Star system, which translates the number of trees saved into a clear and direct visual scale:

  • 🌱 1 star: 1–250 trees saved
  • 🌳 2 stars: 251–1.000 trees saved
  • 🌍 3 stars: more than 1.001  trees saved

This new indicator allows us to quantify the sustainable impact of each company. In our case, we are proud to contribute significantly, not only by returning pallets, but also by promoting an industrial culture based on the circular economy.

This recognition adds to our environmental strategy.

Obtaining the PRS Green Label aligns with the other initiatives we have been developing since 2023 to consolidate a more sustainable management model:

  • ISO 14001 Certification
  • Carbon Footprint (CFF) Calculation
  • Participation in the Operation Clean Sweep® program
  • Installation of photovoltaic panels
  • EcoVadis Assessment
  • Participation in the UN Global Compact

This award reaffirms our commitment to responsible logistics, with a direct impact on both our operations and our relationships with customers and suppliers.
