Plásticos Lezo Joins Operation Clean Sweep: Commitment to Sustainability and Waste Reduction
At Plásticos Lezo, we continue advancing in our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility in plastic manufacturing. This time, we have joined Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) – Goal: Zero Pellet Loss, a global initiative aimed at minimizing the loss of industrial microplastics and preventing them from reaching the environment.
What is Operation Clean Sweep?
Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) is an international program promoted by the plastics industry to prevent plastic pellets (raw material in the form of pellets, flakes, or powder) from spilling and ending up in rivers, seas, and oceans. This initiative, driven in Spain by ANAIP (Spanish Association of Plastics Industries), seeks to raise awareness and provide companies in the sector with the tools to implement best practices in handling, transport, and recycling of plastic pellets.
Pellet loss is an increasing environmental concern, as these microplastics can end up in aquatic ecosystems if not properly managed. By adhering to this program, Plásticos Lezo reinforces its waste prevention policy and enhances safety in its production processes.
Our Commitment to the Goal: Zero Pellet Loss
